Your bass drum pedal represents one of the most important pieces of hardware in your drum kit. The Yamaha FP9500D is a direct drive single bass drum pedal and loaded with pro features making it smooth, strong, and versatile. It is an adjustable single pedal that comes with a transport case.
The Yamaha FP-9500D sets a standard in the bass drum pedal market, offering premium power, speed, and adjustment. It is a single pedal direct-drive unit with a strong cast link connecting the rocker shaft and the footboard. On the rebound, the direct-drive presses the footboard back, providing the pedal a faster response. The sturdy base plate features non-slip rubber to hold the pedal in place.
With independent control of the footboard and beater, as well as a sliding control over the cam's reaction between linear and offset, there's a versatile level of customization available. The FP-9500D has adjustments for beater angle, footboard angle, and spring tension. The hole in the beater hub is teardrop-shaped so it securely holds the beater shaft and keeps the new two-sided beater from spinning. The new beater is felt on one side, and hard plastic on the other. The side-adjustable hoop clamp holds firmly to different thickness hoops and tightens with a wing bolt. The pedal frame has a stabilizer bar cast into it below the rocker shaft to eliminate flex. This keeps the bearings aligned and provides a smooth feel to the pedal.
The springs feature a self-locking system to keep everything secure, and the FP9500D comes with beater weights in aluminum and brass.
A sub-frame is incorporated right below the rocker shaft in this Yamaha FP9500D exclusive design to provide increased stability and longevity. Both the main and distant beaters are built into the sub-frame, drummers will feel smoother, more stable action, especially in double pedal setups.
