ProCo Rat 2 Distortion Pedal
First built by request and never intended for production, the RAT distortion has become one of the most recorded distortion pedals in the world. The RAT 2 signalled the next generation of RAT pedals, providing the same classic RAT tones with excellent versatility to help define the sound of the past three decade’s most influential bands. The Pro Co pedal can be used as a primary distortion, excelling at delivering arena rock rhythm tones and soaring leads. It can also be used to boost solos, adding extra kick when needed.
The RAT 2 Pedal features three powerful controls and true bypass switching, letting you dial in the perfect tone and ensuring there’s no extra noises added to your signal when off. Turning the legendary RAT filter control to the right rolls of any brittle high frequencies, and turning it to the right allows the natural brightness of your instrument to shine through the mix. The volume and distortion controls let you dial in the perfect gain for your sound, and keep the levels consistent with your clean tone.
