The Hofner Club 50 is a hollow-body electric guitar with an arch top design, manufactured in Germany around 1959. It features a natural lacquer finish and is constructed with a laminated maple body and a spruce top. The neck is also made of laminated maple and has a rosewood fingerboard. It comes with a period black hard shell case.

The Club 50 stands out as one of Hofner's most unique creations. It is a compact archtop guitar with a slim body and does not have f-holes. This model was available in Europe and the UK during the late 1950s and early 1960s. In the early stages of their career as a group, all three guitarists of The Beatles played similar Club 40 models, making them highly popular in the Beat-group scene, particularly in Liverpool.

This particular Club 50 is estimated to be from around 1959 & was known to be owned by Ray Fenwick of Ian Gillans Post Deep-Purple solo project. It features the earlier style plastic-covered pickups and is equipped with the newer 2-knob, 3 switch control panel introduced in 1958. Over the years, it has mostly been brought into the country individually by Beat fans. Overall, this Hofner classic is a remarkable instrument in excellent playable condition.
