Gretsch G6128T-GH George Harrison Duo Jet, (Used, Comm)
The Gretsch G6128T-GH George Harrison Duo Jet is a signature reissue of the 1957 Duo Jet associated with George Harrison’s early Beatles-era guitar work. It features a chambered mahogany body with a laminated maple top, built in the classic Gretsch Jet single-cut design. The instrument uses a 24.6-inch scale length, a set mahogany neck with a bound rosewood fingerboard, 22 frets, and hump-block inlays, maintaining the original mid-1950s specification profile.
The hardware includes a Bigsby B3C vibrato tailpiece, a rocking bar bridge mounted on a rosewood base, Grover Sta-Tite tuners, and chrome-plated fittings. The chambered construction is designed to reduce weight while enhancing acoustic resonance compared to fully solid-body designs, giving the instrument a more open response under both clean and driven amplification.
The electronics consist of two Gretsch DynaSonic single-coil pickups in bridge and neck positions, controlled by individual volume controls for each pickup, a master volume, a master tone control, and a three-position pickup selector switch. The wiring configuration allows bridge-only, neck-only, and combined pickup operation within a passive circuit layout.
