WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

The Whiskey Chaser packs a surprising amount of distortion into a very compact enclosure.

The three voicing modes mean it is not locked into one sound, allowing you to move between a more natural vintage-style drive, tighter modern distortion and a classic high-gain voice.

Its small footprint also makes it an easy addition to a crowded pedalboard.

DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS

Distortion Control

The Distortion control adjusts the overall amount of gain.

Lower settings provide crunchy drive and aggressive rhythm tones, while higher settings deliver much heavier saturation and sustain.

Tone Control

The Tone control shapes the midrange response of the pedal.

Lower settings provide a more scooped character, while higher settings increase the midrange presence and help the guitar cut through a mix.

Level Control

The Level control adjusts the overall output volume.

This allows the pedal to be matched to the bypassed guitar signal or used with additional output for lead boosts and heavier amp driving.

THREE DISTORTION MODES

The Whiskey Chaser provides three distinct distortion voices.

Hooch

Hooch is the most natural and amp-like of the three modes.

It is designed to provide the character of an overdriven vintage valve amplifier and works particularly well for classic rock and lower-gain rhythm tones.

Bourbon

Bourbon moves towards a more modern high-gain sound.

It provides a tighter low end and fuller midrange, making it particularly effective for heavier riffs and more contemporary rock tones.

Scotch

Scotch delivers a more traditional high-gain distortion character with strong definition.

It works well for classic hard rock, lead guitar and saturated rhythm playing.

TRUE BYPASS

The Whiskey Chaser uses true bypass switching.

When the pedal is disengaged, the effect circuit is removed from the signal path.

COMPACT DESIGN

The Whiskey Chaser uses a compact mini-pedal format measuring approximately:

• 95mm deep

• 45mm wide

• 48mm high

This makes it particularly useful for pedalboards where space is limited.

HOW IT COMPARES

Whiskey Chaser vs Basic Distortion Pedal

Many compact distortion pedals provide only one overall voicing.

The Whiskey Chaser adds three selectable distortion modes, giving it a wider range of sounds without adding complicated controls.

Hooch vs Bourbon

Hooch provides the more natural and vintage-style response.

Bourbon offers a tighter and more modern high-gain character.

Bourbon vs Scotch

Bourbon has a more contemporary, muscular response, while Scotch provides a more traditional and defined high-gain distortion sound.

FAIR DEAL MUSIC EXPERT VERDICT ★★★★★

Best suited for: Players wanting an affordable compact distortion pedal with several genuinely different high-gain voices.

Customers usually upgrade from: Practice-amp distortion, basic single-mode drive pedals and entry-level distortion effects.

Most commonly paired with: Overdrive, boost, delay, reverb, noise gates and clean or slightly driven guitar amplifiers.

Our tip: Start with Hooch if you want a more natural amp-style drive, then switch to Bourbon for tighter heavy riffs. Scotch works particularly well when you want more traditional saturated lead distortion.

Showroom feedback: The Whiskey Chaser offers a lot of gain for such a small pedal. The three-way voicing switch is the feature that really makes it useful, giving it considerably more range than many similarly priced compact distortions.
