Why Choose The Fender California Deluxe Monterey™ E?

Comfortable Folk Body Design

The Monterey™ E features a classic folk-style body that's smaller and more comfortable than a traditional dreadnought. It sits naturally against the player and encourages longer playing sessions without fatigue.

Solid Mahogany Top

The solid mahogany soundboard delivers a warm, articulate voice with excellent midrange definition and smooth highs. As the guitar ages, the solid top continues to develop greater tonal richness and resonance.

Smooth Satin Mahogany Neck

The satin-finished mahogany "C"-shaped neck provides effortless playability, while the 12" fingerboard radius and vintage-style frets offer a familiar and comfortable feel for players of all abilities.

Fishman® CD-1 Electronics

The integrated Fishman® CD-1 preamp and onboard tuner provide natural amplified acoustic sound, making the Monterey™ E an excellent choice for gigs, rehearsals and recording.

Stable Tuning Performance

Sealed split-shaft tuning machines work alongside the Micarta® nut and saddle to maximise sustain, improve tuning stability and provide consistent string-to-string response.

Premium California Styling

The California Deluxe Series combines Fender's iconic heritage with modern acoustic craftsmanship, offering distinctive looks that stand apart from traditional acoustic guitar designs.

Associated Artists & Musical Heritage

The Martin offers the classic 000 body style, while the Fender provides distinctive California styling, modern appointments and outstanding value.

Why Choose a Solid Mahogany Top?

Mahogany produces a naturally warm, balanced tone with a strong midrange focus and smooth treble response.

A solid mahogany top responds dynamically to your playing while gradually opening up over time, developing increased resonance and tonal complexity. This makes it particularly appealing to players who accompany vocals or prefer a warmer acoustic character than spruce typically provides.

Combined with mahogany back and sides, the Monterey™ E delivers a rich, cohesive voice that's equally suited to fingerstyle and strumming.
