Classic & Lightweight Alder Build
The Fender Albert Hammond Jr Stratocaster is constructed with a lightweight alder body, producing a resonant and balanced tone with plenty of clarity and body. The tonewood provides a decent amount of sustain, creating bright, sizzling highs, excellently rounded lows, and beefy mids. Fender have used alder as their tonewood of choice for electric guitars since the 1950s, as the balanced response and slight upper middle definition makes it perfect for rock and blues. An Olympic White finish also offers a familiar yet incredibly pleasing aesthetic that is certain to look sublime on-stage, in the studio, and rehearsal room.
Smooth Playing Neck & Fingerboard
Constructed from maple, the Strat's neck offers a quick response with a bright attack, plenty of bite and ringing sustain. The neck also features a C-shaped profile, providing comfort throughout each position up and down the neck. Its C-profile also prevents the likeliness of cramping hand - perfect for long solos and fast-paced styles. Additionally, the neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, adding clarity, warmth, and a subtle sizzle to the guitar's overall tone.
Resonant Synthetic Bone Nut
Featuring a carefully fitted synthetic bone nut the Albert Hammond Jr Stratocaster delivers an increased resonance and brighter tonality. When compared to traditional plastic and Tusq materials used to construct guitar nuts, synthetic bone improves the vibration transfer between the string and tuning machines without dampening the tone.
About Albert Hammond Jr
Albert Hammond Jr is the son of prolific songwriter and record producer Albert Louis Hammond. Albert Jr took the same direction as his farther by becoming a guitarist, singer, songwriter, and music producer. His legendary status came from his most famous role as a rhythm and lead guitarist in the American rock band - The Strokes. From a very early age, Albert Jr's main guitar has been a Fender Stratocaster Arctic White, 1985 Reissue of a 1972 model. Albert Hammond Jr also owns three white Strats and has favoured this model over the years for its distinct sound and incredible playability.
Fender have released a new addition to their Artist Series, bringing you an Albert Hammond Jr model, inspired by Albert's original Stratocaster. This Artist special model commemorates the distinct and iconic appearance, as well as the unique sound of the Stratocaster - continuing to define generations of guitarists, from beginner to professional.
