The Hot Plate is a power attenuator that is placed between your amplifier and speaker (s). It enables you to get a tube amplifier's full output distortion at lower volumes without sacrificing tone.
The Hot Plate can also be used as a high-quality direct box, allowing you to route the amp's signal to a mixing board, a separate power amplifier, or rack-mount effects without micing the speaker (s).
There are five different Hot Plate models available in five different colours: The 2 (gold), 2.7 (green), 4 (red), 8 (purple), and 16 (blue) (blue). The impedance of your amplifier, Hot Plate, and speaker cabinet should all be the same to improve the tone and function of the Hot Plate.
