WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
This Les Paul Standard provides the familiar feel and control layout that has made the design such a cornerstone of rock guitar.
The set-neck construction and twin humbuckers give it the sustain, warmth and midrange weight associated with the Les Paul format, while the separate volume and tone controls make it easy to balance the two pickups for rhythm and lead work.
At 7.68 lbs, this particular example is also relatively manageable for a Les Paul-style instrument.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
Classic Les Paul Construction
The guitar follows the established Les Paul formula with a substantial solid body, carved top and set neck.
This construction contributes to the instrument’s sustain and strong midrange character.
Cherry Sunburst Finish
The Cherry Sunburst finish gives the guitar the traditional appearance associated with some of the most recognisable Les Paul models.
It combines a warm amber centre with deeper red shading around the body edge.
Set Mahogany Neck
The set mahogany neck provides the connected feel associated with traditional Les Paul construction.
It also contributes to the guitar’s warm response and sustain.
Rosewood Fingerboard
The rosewood fingerboard provides a familiar smooth playing surface and complements the guitar’s warmer overall tonal character.
24.75" Scale Length
The traditional 24.75" scale length gives the guitar a relatively relaxed string feel compared with longer-scale instruments.
This makes bends and vibrato comfortable while retaining strong sustain.
22 Frets
The 22-fret layout follows the traditional Les Paul configuration and keeps the neck pickup positioned for a warm, rounded response.
DUAL HUMBUCKERS
The guitar is equipped with two Epiphone humbuckers.
The neck pickup provides warm, full-bodied sounds suited to blues, jazz and smooth lead work.
The bridge pickup delivers a stronger and more focused response for rock rhythm, overdrive and lead playing.
TRADITIONAL LES PAUL CONTROLS
The control layout consists of:
-
Neck Volume
-
Bridge Volume
-
Neck Tone
-
Bridge Tone
-
3-way pickup selector
This allows the two pickups to be balanced independently.
Players can, for example, set the neck pickup cleaner and quieter while keeping the bridge pickup louder for lead work.
TUNE-O-MATIC-STYLE BRIDGE & STOPBAR
The bridge and stopbar arrangement provides straightforward adjustment of string height and intonation while maintaining the traditional Les Paul feel.

HOW IT COMPARES
Korean Les Paul Standard vs Modern Entry-Level Les Paul
This early-2000s Korean-made instrument offers a traditional set-neck Les Paul layout and has appeal for players specifically seeking older Epiphone production.
Les Paul Standard vs SG-Style Guitar
A Les Paul generally provides a heavier and thicker-feeling body with more low-mid weight.
An SG-style guitar tends to feel lighter and provide easier upper-fret access.
Dual Humbuckers vs Single-Coil Guitar
The twin humbuckers deliver a fuller and more powerful response than conventional single coils, particularly when using overdrive and distortion.

FAIR DEAL MUSIC EXPERT VERDICT ★★★★★
Best suited for: Players looking for a traditional Les Paul-style guitar with dual humbuckers, set-neck construction and the added appeal of early-2000s Korean production.
Customers usually upgrade from: Entry-level bolt-on electric guitars, beginner Les Paul-style instruments and basic single-humbucker guitars.
Most commonly paired with: Valve amplifiers, overdrive, distortion, delay and reverb.
Our tip: Use the independent volume controls to preset contrasting rhythm and lead levels. It is one of the most useful features of the traditional Les Paul control layout.
Showroom feedback: At 7.68 lbs, this is a comparatively manageable Les Paul-style guitar. The missing pickguard is mainly a cosmetic consideration, while the early Korean production gives it additional interest for players who favour older Epiphone instruments.
