Description
The 2021 LsL Instruments T-Bone One in 3-Colour Sunburst is a boutique USA-built T-style electric that combines familiar vintage-inspired simplicity with the hand-built approach for which LsL Instruments has become known.
Part of LsL’s more streamlined One Series, the T-Bone One retains important boutique elements including hand-wound pickups, hand-shaped construction and a thin nitrocellulose finish while using a more focused range of specifications and finishes.

This Pre-Owned 2021 example is offered in Very Good condition and includes a hardcase.

Pre-Owned Condition Report
Very Good Condition
This 2021 LsL Instruments T-Bone One is offered in Very Good condition.
It is important to distinguish the guitar’s condition from its finish treatment. The Light Relic appearance is intentional factory ageing and forms part of the original aesthetic of the instrument.
Very Good condition therefore refers to its overall state as a Pre-Owned instrument beyond the deliberate relic work.
No faults, repairs or modifications have been supplied for this listing.

Condition Notes
This guitar was built with an intentionally aged appearance, so marks, finish checking, dulled hardware and other vintage-style details associated with its Light Relic specification should not automatically be interpreted as accidental damage.

Why Choose The LsL T-Bone One?
Boutique USA Construction
LsL takes a hands-on approach to building its instruments, with the One Series retaining hand-shaped construction and hand-wound pickups despite being designed as a more accessible route into the brand.
LsL Hand-Wound Pickups
Rather than fitting generic production pickups, the T-Bone One uses LsL’s own hand-wound units.
For a traditional T-style instrument, that means plenty of clarity and attack from the bridge position alongside a fuller and smoother neck-pickup response.
Factory Light Relic Finish
The Light Relic treatment gives the guitar a broken-in appearance from the outset.
For players who prefer an instrument with visual character rather than a flawless showroom-style finish, this is a major part of the T-Bone One’s appeal.
Thin Nitrocellulose Finish
The One Series uses a thin nitro-style finishing approach rather than a thick modern coating, reinforcing the vintage-inspired character of the instrument.
Straightforward T-Style Electronics
The two-pickup format and simple switching keep operation immediate.
Rather than relying on complicated electronics, the guitar encourages you to use your hands, volume and tone controls, amplifier and pedals to shape the final sound.
Comparison Against Popular Alternatives
LsL T-Bone One vs Fender American Vintage II Telecaster
The Fender places greater emphasis on recreating a specific historical Telecaster specification. The LsL takes a boutique approach, combining vintage inspiration with individually hand-finished construction and LsL’s own pickups.
T-Bone One vs Fender Custom Shop Telecaster
Both can appeal to players looking for aged finishes and higher-end construction. The Fender offers Custom Shop provenance and Fender-specific historical detail, while the LsL provides a smaller-builder alternative with its own neck shaping, pickups and finishing philosophy.
T-Bone One vs Nash T-Series
Both brands are strongly associated with aged, vintage-inspired bolt-on guitars. The decision often comes down to individual neck feel, pickup character, ageing style and the personality of the exact guitar.
T-Bone One vs Standard Production Tele-Style Guitar
A regular production model may offer excellent value and consistency, while the LsL is aimed at players who specifically value hand-building, boutique pickups and individual finishing.
Who Is It For?
Blues Guitarists
The uncomplicated passive electronics and responsive hand-wound pickups suit players who control dynamics through their hands, guitar volume and amplifier.
Country And Americana Players
A T-style bridge pickup remains one of the defining sounds for articulate rhythm work, picking and roots-oriented lead playing.
Classic Rock Players
The bridge pickup works naturally with boost, overdrive and valve-style amplifier breakup while maintaining excellent note definition.
Indie And Alternative Guitarists
The factory-aged appearance and stripped-back electronics make the T-Bone One particularly appealing for players looking for something more individual than a regular production T-style guitar.
Boutique Guitar Buyers
If you appreciate smaller-scale USA guitar builders and want something outside the usual Fender Custom Shop route, the T-Bone One is an interesting alternative.

What Does “One” Mean On An LsL T-Bone?
The One Series was designed as a more focused route into LsL Instruments rather than a lower-quality production line.
LsL simplified elements such as available finishes and some specification choices, while retaining many of the features central to the brand: hand-wound pickups, hand-shaped bodies and necks, thin nitro finishes and intentional ageing.
That makes the T-Bone One particularly interesting for players who want the boutique LsL approach without requiring a heavily personalised custom specification.
Story & Context: LsL Instruments And The T-Bone
LsL Instruments is a California-based boutique guitar builder specialising heavily in vintage-inspired bolt-on electric guitars.
Rather than simply reproducing familiar shapes, the company developed its reputation around individually built instruments, hand-wound pickups, carefully shaped necks and aged finishes.
The T-Bone is LsL’s interpretation of the classic T-style solid-body guitar: a straightforward two-pickup instrument built around clarity, simplicity and dynamic response.
The later One Series took that philosophy and streamlined the available choices to make the core LsL experience more accessible. Importantly, it did not abandon the hand-wound pickups, hand-shaped construction or thin aged finish that define much of the company’s appeal.
This 2021 T-Bone One in 3-Colour Sunburst therefore represents a boutique interpretation of one of electric guitar’s simplest and most enduring formulas.

Specification Note
LsL instruments can vary significantly between individual builds, even within the same model family.
A documented 2021 3-Colour Sunburst T-Bone One was built with a two-piece sugar-pine body, one-piece maple neck, Soft V profile and 9.5" radius. However, the serial number or original build sheet for this individual Fair Deal Music guitar has not been supplied, so those build-specific details have not been assumed here.
Power Requirements
No battery or external power supply is required.
The LsL pickups and controls are entirely passive. Connect the guitar to a suitable amplifier, pedalboard, modeller or recording interface using a standard 1/4" instrument cable.
Why Buy Pre-Owned From Fair Deal Music?
Boutique guitars can be particularly interesting to buy Pre-Owned because specifications and individual feel often vary more than they do within large-volume production ranges.
With a guitar such as the T-Bone One, you are buying an individual instrument rather than simply a model number.
At Fair Deal Music, our Pre-Owned guitars are individually checked and assessed before sale, helping customers buy boutique and specialist instruments with greater confidence.
Fair Deal Music Verdict
★★★★★ 5/5
The 2021 LsL Instruments T-Bone One 3-Colour Sunburst Light Relic is a compelling choice for someone who loves the simplicity of a traditional T-style guitar but wants something more individual than a mainstream production model.
The hand-wound pickups, boutique USA construction and deliberately broken-in finish give it plenty of character without complicating the basic two-pickup formula.
Best suited for: Blues, country, Americana, classic-rock and boutique-guitar players.
Customers usually upgrade from: Fender Player and American-series Telecasters, higher-end production T-style guitars and other vintage-inspired bolt-ons.
Most commonly paired with: Valve amplifiers, compressors, boosts, overdrive, delay and spring-style reverb.
Our tip: Let the two pickups and controls do the work. Small changes to the guitar volume, tone control and picking position can produce a surprisingly wide range of sounds from such a simple circuit.
Showroom feedback: The appeal of an LsL is less about specification-sheet complexity and more about how the whole guitar comes together. The T-Bone One feels deliberately straightforward, with the factory relic treatment adding character without disguising its working-instrument focus.
