Extended 27" Baritone Scale
The longer scale length is purpose-built for B-to-B tuning, maintaining excellent string tension and note clarity while producing powerful low frequencies that standard guitars simply cannot achieve.
Classic Telecaster® Tone in a Lower Register
Player Series Alnico V Single-Coil Tele® pickups preserve the famous Telecaster® snap and articulation, even when tuned significantly lower, making this a unique choice among baritone electric guitars.
Exclusive 75th Anniversary Edition
Special anniversary appointments celebrate Fender's 75-year legacy, making this a distinctive addition to both working musicians' collections and Fender enthusiasts alike.
Modern "C" Neck with Rolled Fingerboard Edges
Comfortable neck shaping, rolled fingerboard edges and a satin urethane neck finish provide an effortlessly smooth playing experience for rhythm work, lead lines and extended recording sessions.
Reliable Modern Hardware
The six-saddle string-through-body bridge with block steel saddles and ClassicGear™ tuning machines provides excellent sustain, precise intonation and dependable tuning stability.

Why Choose a Baritone Telecaster®?
A baritone guitar fills the space between a standard electric guitar and a bass, offering a deeper voice while retaining familiar guitar tuning relationships. Tuned B-to-B, it delivers huge low-end response without sacrificing note definition, making it ideal for modern rock, cinematic scoring, country, surf, metal, worship music and alternative genres.
Unlike simply downtuning a standard guitar, the extended 27" scale maintains proper string tension, resulting in tighter bass response, improved tuning stability and clearer intonation.
Who Is It For?
Beginners
While fully playable by beginners, this guitar is best suited to players specifically looking for baritone tuning and extended-range sounds.
Intermediate Players
Perfect for expanding your tonal palette beyond standard tuning while maintaining familiar Telecaster® playability.
Advanced & Professional Players
Ideal for recording artists, touring musicians and composers looking for powerful low-register textures without moving to a bass guitar.

Product Story & Heritage
The Telecaster® changed electric guitar design forever when it debuted in the early 1950s. Simple, reliable and unmistakably expressive, it quickly became one of the most recorded guitars in history.
The 75th Anniversary Player II Baritone Telecaster® celebrates that legacy while expanding the instrument's capabilities for today's musicians. By combining the classic Telecaster platform with an extended baritone scale, Fender has created an instrument that honours its past while embracing modern musical creativity.
Associated Artists & Musical Heritage
Baritone guitars have become favourites among artists working across alternative rock, film scoring, Americana, surf, country and heavy music, thanks to their unique ability to add depth and atmosphere without sacrificing articulation.
While this specific Player II Baritone Telecaster® is not an artist signature model, it continues Fender's tradition of providing innovative instruments that inspire new musical directions.
Product Comparisons
Fender Player II Baritone Telecaster® vs Standard Player II Telecaster®
The standard Telecaster covers traditional electric guitar tuning, while the Baritone model extends into deeper B-to-B territory with greater low-end authority and enhanced string tension.
Fender Player II Baritone Telecaster® vs Fender Fusion Baritone Jaguar®
The Fusion Baritone Jaguar focuses on heavier, humbucker-driven sounds and modern circuitry, while the Baritone Telecaster delivers brighter single-coil articulation with unmistakable Fender twang.
Fender Player II Baritone Telecaster® vs Squier Paranormal Baritone Jazzmaster®
The Jazzmaster offers dual humbuckers and offset styling for heavier tones, while the Player II Baritone Telecaster retains classic Telecaster bite, clarity and dynamic response.
Fender Player II Baritone Telecaster® vs Bass VI
A Bass VI reaches much lower frequencies with bass-oriented tuning, whereas the Baritone Telecaster remains a true guitar with familiar chord shapes and playing techniques.
Why Choose a Baritone Guitar Instead of Simply Downtuning?
Many players attempt lower tunings on standard guitars, but shorter scale lengths often produce loose strings, poor intonation and reduced clarity.
A purpose-built baritone guitar solves these issues through its extended scale length, maintaining tighter string tension, improved sustain and significantly better note definition across the entire fingerboard.
