WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT
The Classic T is designed for players who like the simplicity and direct response of a traditional T-style guitar but want something with a more individual British identity.
Gordon Smith instruments are produced on a much smaller scale than mainstream factory guitars, and the Classic T can be ordered with a wide range of body woods, neck options, pickups and hardware.
That makes each Pre-Owned example especially interesting, because individual specification can vary considerably from guitar to guitar.
The Cromer Green finish also gives this example a particularly distinctive appearance.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
British-Built Character
Gordon Smith is one of the UK's longest-established independent electric guitar makers.
Its instruments are known for straightforward design, practical construction and an emphasis on player feel rather than mass-production uniformity.
Classic T Body Style
The Classic T uses the familiar single-cutaway T-style body format.
This provides straightforward ergonomics and an instantly recognisable playing position.
Cromer Green Finish
The Cromer Green finish gives this example a strong retro-inspired personality.
It is an unusual colour choice that helps the guitar stand out from more traditional black, blonde and sunburst T-style instruments.
25.5" Scale Length
The Classic T platform uses a 25.5" scale length, giving the strings a firm and articulate response.
This scale length is especially well suited to clean rhythm playing, country-style picking, rock and more percussive guitar parts.
Twin-Pickup Platform
The Classic T is fundamentally designed around a two-pickup layout.
This provides access to contrasting neck and bridge sounds with a combined middle position.
Exact pickup specification can vary because Gordon Smith offers multiple pickup options on the Classic T platform.
Passive Electronics
The guitar uses passive electronics and requires no battery.
Traditional T-Style Hardware Concept
The Classic T is available with traditional bridge and control-plate layouts, reinforcing the direct, uncomplicated character of the design.
8.98 lbs Actual Weight
This individual guitar weighs 8.98 lbs, giving buyers a precise indication of how this particular example will feel.
WHO IS IT FOR?
The Gordon Smith Classic T is particularly well suited to rock, blues, country, indie, alternative and general-purpose electric guitar players who want something different from the usual mass-market T-style instruments.
It should especially appeal to musicians who value British manufacture and independently built guitars.
PLAYING STYLES & APPLICATIONS
The Classic T format naturally suits country, blues, rock, indie, alternative, funk and clean rhythm playing.
Its 25.5" scale gives it a firm and articulate feel, while the twin-pickup format provides useful tonal contrast between neck and bridge positions.
HOW IT COMPARES
Classic T vs Fender Telecaster
Both use a broadly similar T-style single-cutaway concept and 25.5" scale length.
The Gordon Smith brings its own British-built character and can be specified with a much wider range of custom options.
Classic T vs Mass-Produced T-Style Guitars
The biggest difference is individuality.
Gordon Smith produces guitars on a much smaller scale and offers extensive specification choices, so individual examples can differ considerably.
Classic T vs Gordon Smith GSG Models
The Classic T has a longer-scale, T-style platform, while the GSG range follows a more compact double-cut design.
