WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT
The Gould XG SG offers a familiar rock-guitar platform with the added versatility and visual appeal of a vintage-style vibrato.
The dual humbuckers provide thick, powerful tones suited to rock, blues and heavier driven sounds, while the double-cutaway design makes higher frets easy to reach.
The White finish and vibrato system give this example a more distinctive appearance than a standard SG-style guitar.
DETAILED FEATURES & BENEFITS
SG-Style Double-Cutaway Body
The classic SG-style outline provides excellent access to the upper register and keeps the instrument comfortable for both rhythm and lead playing.
White Finish
The White finish gives the guitar a clean, striking appearance and works particularly well with the vintage-style vibrato system.
Set-Neck Construction
Documented Gould XG Series SG examples use set / glued-neck construction, giving the guitar a more traditional SG-style build than a bolt-on design.
Dual Humbuckers
A pair of passive humbuckers provides the thick, full-bodied sound associated with classic rock and blues.
The bridge pickup delivers more attack and definition, while the neck pickup provides a warmer and smoother response.
Three-Way Pickup Selector
The traditional 3-way selector provides:
-
Neck pickup
-
Both pickups
-
Bridge pickup
Independent Controls
Separate Volume and Tone controls allow the two pickups to be balanced and shaped independently.
Bigsby-Style Vibrato
The vibrato system adds expressive pitch movement without changing the fundamental feel of the guitar.
It is particularly effective for subtle movement on sustained chords and melodic phrases.
Passive Electronics
The electronics are passive, so no battery is required.

HOW IT COMPARES
Gould XG SG vs Standard SG-Style Guitar
Most SG-style guitars use a fixed stopbar tailpiece.
This example adds a Bigsby-style vibrato, giving it additional expressive capability.
Set Neck vs Bolt-On
A set neck provides a smoother neck-to-body transition and follows the more traditional SG construction approach.
Bigsby-Style vs Conventional Tremolo
A conventional fulcrum tremolo usually allows larger pitch changes.
A Bigsby-style system is designed for smoother, subtler movement and a more vintage playing feel.
