Quick Product Summary
The Ibanez AZ26P1-BK is a versatile Premium-series electric guitar combining modern playability, professional hardware and an exceptionally flexible HSS pickup configuration. Finished in striking Black with contrasting gold hardware, it delivers everything from clear single-coil sounds to powerful humbucker tones in one performance-focused instrument.
A roasted maple AZ Oval C neck, ebony fingerboard and 22 jumbo stainless-steel frets provide a smooth, precise playing feel, while Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups and Ibanez's dyna-MIX9 switching system give the AZ26P1 an extensive tonal range suitable for clean, driven and high-gain styles.
What Makes the Ibanez AZ26P1-BK Special?
The AZ26P1 is designed around versatility. Its Seymour Duncan Hyperion HSS pickup configuration combines two single coils with a bridge humbucker, while the dyna-MIX9 system and Alter Switch significantly expand the available pickup combinations. This allows the guitar to move comfortably between traditional single-coil character, thicker humbucker-style sounds and modern high-gain tones.
Its hardware and construction are equally performance-focused. Gotoh MG-T locking machine heads, a Gotoh T1502 tremolo, jumbo stainless-steel frets and a roasted maple neck make the AZ26P1 a dependable choice for demanding players, while ergonomic body contours and the Super All Access neck joint help maintain excellent comfort across the full fingerboard.

It uses three Seymour Duncan Hyperion pickups in an HSS arrangement, with single coils at the neck and middle positions and a humbucker at the bridge.
What does the dyna-MIX9 system do?

Is the AZ26P1 suitable for high-gain music?
Yes. The Seymour Duncan Hyperion bridge humbucker retains definition under distortion, making the guitar well suited to rock, progressive styles and higher-gain playing.
Is it suitable for cleaner styles as well?
