The Ibanez RG8 is an affordable and high quality 8 string guitar that is ideal for metal, rock and even jazz. The 5-piece maple/walnut Wizard II-8 neck feels great for lead work and heavy duty riffing, the body's cutaway gives you access all the way up to the 24th fret of the RG8's rosewood fretboard.

Equipped with a pair of ceramic Ibanez IBZ-8 pickups, the RG8 delivers a high enough output to handle bags of distortion, but  also cleans up nicely when the volume is rolled off. The features are no-nonsense, the solid black finish is thick and robust, the volume and tone controls and 3-way pickup selector are simple and the Ibanez fixed bridge is sturdy.
