Description
Lâg Sauvage-T Travel Acoustic Guitar with Padded Gig Bag – Brand New
Quick Product Summary
The Lâg Sauvage-T is a compact travel acoustic guitar created for musicians who want greater portability without losing the feel, character and musical response of a serious steel-string instrument.
Its solid Pale BrankoWood top is paired with rough-sawn smoked eucalyptus back and sides, giving the Sauvage-T a distinctive natural appearance and a clear, expressive acoustic voice. A shortened 600mm scale makes the guitar comfortable to play, while its rounded back helps produce greater depth and projection than its compact dimensions might suggest.
Supplied with a padded Lâg gig bag, the Sauvage-T is an excellent companion for travelling, songwriting, relaxed practice and playing wherever inspiration strikes.

Who Is It For?
The Lâg Sauvage-T is designed for players who need a guitar that is easier to transport but still feels and sounds like a genuine musical instrument.
It is particularly well suited to:
- Travelling musicians who need a compact acoustic guitar
- Songwriters looking for an instrument they can keep close at hand
- Players who find full-sized acoustic guitars uncomfortable
- Beginners who prefer a shorter and more manageable scale
- Experienced guitarists seeking a high-quality second acoustic
- Campfire, holiday and relaxed home playing
- Environmentally conscious players drawn to alternative materials and construction
Its reduced body dimensions also make it a practical option for younger musicians, although it remains a full-featured steel-string guitar rather than a basic student instrument.
Why This Model?
Many travel guitars prioritise size above everything else. The Sauvage-T takes a more complete approach by combining portability with considered materials, comfortable playability and a distinctive tonal character.
The 600mm scale length reduces the distance between the frets and gives the strings a slightly more relaxed feel than a conventional full-scale acoustic guitar. This can make stretches, chord changes and longer playing sessions feel more manageable.
Its solid Pale BrankoWood soundboard offers a responsive acoustic voice, while the rounded, rough-sawn smoked eucalyptus back helps the compact body produce a surprisingly rich and expressive sound.
The minimal satin finish allows the natural textures of the materials to remain visible, giving every Sauvage-T a rugged appearance that suits its travel-focused design.

Sound and Playing Character
The Sauvage-T produces a clear and immediate acoustic response with enough warmth to support open chords, fingerstyle passages and vocal accompaniment.
Its smaller body naturally creates a more focused sound than a full-sized dreadnought, making individual notes easy to hear and helping the guitar remain controlled during recording or relaxed home playing.
The rounded back adds depth and projection, while the solid soundboard gives the instrument a more responsive and expressive character as playing dynamics change.
The shorter scale also creates a slightly softer string feel, making bends, fretting and more demanding chord shapes easier on the hands.
Sustainable Design
The Sauvage range reflects Lâg’s environmentally conscious approach to modern guitar production.
The Sauvage-T uses certified BrankoWood alongside smoked eucalyptus and a reduced-impact varnishing process. BrankoWood is engineered to provide the stability and musical qualities associated with seasoned traditional tonewoods while reducing dependence on vulnerable natural resources.
This approach gives the Sauvage-T its own visual and tonal identity rather than simply attempting to imitate a conventional travel guitar.
Comparison and Alternatives
Lâg Sauvage-T vs Lâg Sauvage-TE
The Sauvage-T is the straightforward acoustic version and is ideal for unplugged playing, travelling and recording with a microphone.
The Sauvage-TE adds Lâg’s StageLâg preamp system, making it the stronger choice for players who need to connect directly to an acoustic amplifier, PA system or audio interface.
Lâg Sauvage-T vs a Full-Sized Auditorium Guitar
Choose the Sauvage-T when portability, comfort and easy storage are priorities. Its smaller body and 600mm scale make it easier to transport and more manageable during relaxed playing.
A full-sized auditorium guitar will generally provide greater low-end depth and overall acoustic volume, but it will also be larger and less convenient to travel with.
Lâg Sauvage-T vs a Dreadnought Acoustic
The Sauvage-T provides a tighter, more focused voice and a considerably more compact playing experience.
A dreadnought is better suited to players who need maximum unplugged volume, powerful bass response and strong projection for heavy strumming.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Lâg Sauvage-T suitable for beginners?
Yes. Its compact body, shorter scale and familiar 43mm nut width make it comfortable and approachable for new players. It also offers sufficient quality for the player to continue using as their ability develops.
Is the Sauvage-T a full-scale guitar?
It uses a shortened 600mm scale rather than the approximately 650mm scale found on many full-sized acoustic guitars. This contributes to its compact dimensions and slightly more relaxed string feel.
Does it have a solid top?
Yes. The Sauvage-T features a solid Pale BrankoWood top.
Is this an electro-acoustic guitar?
No. The Sauvage-T does not include onboard electronics. The Sauvage-TE is the electro-acoustic version of the model.
Is it suitable for air travel?
Its compact dimensions make it easier to transport than a conventional acoustic guitar. Airline cabin baggage rules vary, so customers should always confirm the permitted instrument dimensions directly with their airline before travelling.
Can it be used as a main acoustic guitar?
Yes. Although designed with portability in mind, the Sauvage-T is a fully playable acoustic guitar suitable for practice, songwriting, recording and informal performance.
What style of music is it best suited to?
Its focused, articulate sound works particularly well for fingerstyle playing, folk, acoustic pop, blues, songwriting and lighter strumming.
Does it come with a gig bag?
Yes. A padded Lâg gig bag is included.
Fair Deal Music Verdict
★★★★★ 5/5
The Lâg Sauvage-T stands out from the typical travel-guitar crowd. Its compact body and shortened scale make it genuinely convenient to carry and comfortable to play, but its solid top, rounded back and distinctive material choices ensure it still feels like a thoughtfully designed acoustic instrument.
It is an excellent choice for travelling musicians, songwriters and players who want a compact guitar without settling for something that feels disposable or uninspiring.
