Detailed Features & Benefits
Authentic Marshall All-Valve Tone
The Origin20C delivers the rich harmonic character, natural compression and responsive dynamics that have made Marshall amplifiers legendary. Powered by two EL34 output valves and three ECC83 valves, it produces everything from warm, articulate cleans to gritty vintage crunch and powerful British overdrive. Its traditional valve circuitry responds beautifully to playing dynamics, making it particularly appealing to guitarists who appreciate expressive, touch-sensitive amplification.
Powerstem Technology – Three Selectable Power Settings
One of the Origin20C's standout features is Marshall's innovative Powerstem technology, allowing the amplifier to operate at 20 watts, approximately 3 watts or just 0.5 watts. This provides exceptional flexibility for different playing environments, making it easier to enjoy classic valve-driven sounds at more manageable volume levels. Whether practising at home, recording in the studio or performing live, the selectable output settings allow players to tailor the amplifier's power to their requirements.
Celestion VT-Junior 10-Inch Speaker
Equipped with a 10-inch Celestion VT-Junior speaker, the Origin20C delivers a balanced, responsive sound with punchy midrange, tight bass frequencies and articulate highs. The speaker complements the amplifier's vintage-inspired circuitry, producing everything from sparkling cleans and warm blues tones to powerful, harmonically rich rock overdrive.
Unique Tilt Tone Control
The Origin20C features Marshall's distinctive Tilt control, inspired by the separate Normal and High Treble inputs found on classic Marshall amplifiers. This innovative control allows players to blend between warmer, fuller sounds and brighter, more aggressive tones, providing impressive tonal flexibility from a single channel.
Footswitchable Gain Boost
A built-in gain boost function allows guitarists to introduce additional drive and saturation for more aggressive rhythm sounds and expressive lead playing. Activated using the pull-boost Gain control or a compatible footswitch, this feature adds extra versatility to the amplifier's traditional single-channel design, making it easy to move between clean and overdriven tones.
Traditional Three-Band EQ & Presence Control
A comprehensive tone-shaping section provides dedicated Bass, Middle and Treble controls, allowing guitarists to fine-tune the amplifier's response. An additional Presence control adjusts the upper-frequency character, helping players achieve everything from smooth vintage tones to bright, cutting sounds that stand out in a band mix.
Independent Gain & Master Volume Controls
Separate Gain and Master Volume controls provide excellent flexibility when shaping the amplifier's sound. Increasing the Gain introduces additional preamp saturation and classic Marshall crunch, while the Master Volume allows the overall output level to be adjusted independently. This makes the Origin20C particularly useful for players seeking expressive valve-driven tones at different volume levels.
Switchable Series Effects Loop
The Origin20C features a built-in series effects loop, allowing external pedals and processors to be connected between the preamp and power amp stages. This is especially useful for delay, reverb, chorus and other time-based effects, helping maintain clarity when using the amplifier's natural overdrive. The loop can also be switched using a compatible Marshall footswitch.
DI Output for Recording & Live Applications
A dedicated 1/4-inch DI output provides a convenient connection to compatible recording equipment, mixing desks and external audio systems. This adds further versatility for guitarists who want to capture the amplifier's sound for home recording, studio production or live sound reinforcement.
Classic Marshall Styling & Portable Design
Finished in traditional Marshall black with gold control panel detailing and the iconic Marshall script logo, the Origin20C captures the unmistakable appearance of classic British guitar amplifiers. Its compact cabinet, integrated carrying handle and manageable weight make it an excellent option for musicians seeking authentic valve tone without the bulk of a larger amplifier setup.
Excellent Platform for Effects Pedals
With its warm, dynamic clean tones and responsive valve circuitry, the Origin20C is particularly well suited to guitarists who enjoy using external effects pedals. Its traditional single-channel design provides an excellent foundation for overdrive, distortion, fuzz and modulation effects, while the dedicated effects loop offers additional flexibility for more elaborate pedalboard configurations.
B-Stock Condition – Original Box Included
This Marshall Origin20C is offered as a B-Stock amplifier in full working order. making it an attractive option for guitarists seeking genuine Marshall valve amplification at a more affordable price.
With its vintage-inspired sound, innovative power reduction technology and versatile tone-shaping controls, this B-Stock example offers excellent value for money.
