Description
Quick Product Summary
The PDP PDAX912SQG Concept Series Short Cymbal Boom Arm provides a compact and flexible way to add an extra cymbal to an existing drum hardware setup.
Its short 9.5-inch boom arm is paired with PDP's toothless Quick Grip Tilting Clamp, giving you precise control over cymbal placement without taking up the floor space of another complete cymbal stand.
What Makes the PDP PDAX912SQG Special?
The standout feature of the PDAX912SQG is PDP's Quick Grip system. The cymbal tilter can slide along the boom arm, allowing the cymbal position to be adjusted to suit your setup. The toothless design uses a friction disc rather than fixed gear teeth, providing fine control over the cymbal angle.
The Quick Grip clamp can also be removed from the arm, increasing the mounting possibilities when the boom is combined with other compatible Concept Series accessories.
Who Is It For?
The PDAX912SQG is ideal for drummers who want to add a splash, crash, effects cymbal or other compatible cymbal without introducing another floor-standing cymbal stand.
Its compact dimensions make it particularly useful on crowded acoustic kits, percussion setups and hybrid drum rigs where efficient hardware positioning is important.

FAQs
What is the PDP PDAX912SQG?
The PDAX912SQG is a short auxiliary cymbal boom arm from PDP's Concept Series, designed to add another cymbal to an existing drum hardware setup.
How long is the boom arm?
The boom arm measures approximately 9.5 inches.
What is the advantage of the short boom?
Its compact dimensions make it easier to position additional cymbals around crowded drum kits while requiring less space than a full-length boom arm.
What is the Quick Grip Tilting Clamp?
PDP's Quick Grip system is a toothless adjustable tilter that allows precise cymbal-angle adjustment without relying on fixed gear teeth.
Can the tilter move along the boom arm?
Yes. The Quick Grip tilter can slide along the arm, allowing you to fine-tune the position of the cymbal.
Can the Quick Grip tilter be removed?
Yes. It can be removed from the boom arm when using compatible alternative mounting accessories.
What size mounting system does it use?
The Concept Series Quick Grip design accommodates 1/2-inch mounting arms and can be adjusted for compatible 10.5mm arms.
Can I use it for a splash cymbal?
Yes. Its compact design makes it particularly useful for splash and effects cymbals, although it can accommodate other suitably sized cymbals when securely mounted.
Does it include a complete cymbal stand?
No. The PDAX912SQG is an auxiliary boom arm rather than a complete floor-standing cymbal stand.
Is a cymbal included?
No. The cymbal is sold separately.
Will I need another clamp?
If you are attaching the arm to existing drum hardware that does not already have a suitable receiver, an appropriate compatible mounting clamp will be required separately.
Is it suitable for larger drum setups?
Yes. It is particularly useful for larger kits where additional cymbals need to be positioned without adding more tripod bases to the floor.
