RCF ART 915-A Active Speaker
Description
RCF ART 915-A 15" Professional Active PA Speaker
The RCF ART 915-A is a professional 15-inch active PA speaker designed for performers, DJs, live bands, venues, houses of worship, schools, rehearsal spaces and event professionals who need powerful full-range sound from a reliable portable loudspeaker. Part of RCF’s highly respected ART 9 Series, the ART 915-A combines a 15-inch woofer, 1.75-inch voice-coil compression driver, 2100W peak Class-D bi-amplification and advanced onboard DSP to deliver strong output, clear vocal projection and deep, controlled low-frequency performance.
With up to 131 dB maximum SPL, a 45 Hz – 20 kHz frequency response and 100° x 60° coverage, the RCF ART 915-A is built for demanding live sound applications where clarity, power and consistency matter. It works equally well as a main PA speaker, a powerful DJ speaker, a compact venue loudspeaker or part of a larger system with subwoofers.
This is the standard RCF ART 915-A active speaker, not the ART 915-AX. The ART 915-A does not include Bluetooth streaming or a built-in digital mixer. It is designed for users connecting from an external mixer, DJ controller, audio interface, processor or other professional audio source.
Why Choose The RCF ART 915-A?
Powerful 15" Full-Range Performance
The ART 915-A is built around a 15-inch woofer with a 2.5-inch voice coil, giving it the low-frequency reach and punch needed for live music, DJ playback, vocals and general sound reinforcement. Compared with smaller 10-inch or 12-inch active speakers, the 15-inch design provides more natural weight in the low end, making it a strong choice when you want fuller sound without always needing to add a subwoofer.
For DJs, singers, acoustic performers, schools and small venues, this makes the ART 915-A a practical one-box solution for many applications.
2100W Peak Class-D Bi-Amplification
The ART 915-A uses RCF’s 2100W peak two-channel Class-D amplifier platform, with 1400W peak power for the low frequencies and 700W peak power for the high frequencies. This active bi-amplified design means the woofer and compression driver are powered separately for improved efficiency, control and headroom.
Because the amplifier is built in, there is no need for an external power amp. Connect your mixer or source, set the level and the ART 915-A is ready for use.
Clear Vocals And Controlled High Frequencies
The speaker uses a 1-inch compression driver with a 1.75-inch voice coil, paired with RCF’s True Resistive Waveguide. This is designed to provide controlled 100° x 60° coverage, helping vocals, speech and instruments project clearly across the listening area.
For bands, presenters and venues, this is particularly useful because intelligibility matters just as much as volume. The ART 915-A is not just loud; it is built to keep the sound clear and usable at performance levels.
FiRPHASE DSP For Coherent Sound
RCF’s FiRPHASE processing is designed to improve phase response and deliver a more coherent sound image across the listening area. In practical terms, this helps the speaker sound more natural and focused, especially when handling vocals, instruments and playback material together.
For users moving up from entry-level powered speakers, this is one of the key benefits of the ART 9 Series: the system feels more controlled, polished and professional in real-world use.
Bass Motion Control For Stronger Low-End Response
The ART 915-A includes RCF Bass Motion Control, a DSP feature designed to manage woofer excursion while maintaining extended low-frequency performance. Rather than relying on a simple high-pass filter that can reduce bass depth, Bass Motion Control helps the woofer remain controlled while allowing the speaker to reproduce low frequencies with authority.
This is especially useful for DJs, playback systems, electronic music, kick drum reinforcement and fuller live band mixes.
Practical Cabinet Design For Portable And Installed Use
The ART 915-A uses a polypropylene composite cabinet with RCF’s internal M-brace reinforcement. It includes a steel grille, multiple handles, M10 rigging points and a 35 mm pole mount, making it suitable for mobile PA use, venue installation, wall mounting, flown applications and use on speaker stands.
Its wedge-style cabinet shape also means it can be used as a floor monitor where required, although its main strength is as a front-of-house speaker.
Important: ART 915-A vs ART 915-AX
The RCF ART 915-A should not be confused with the RCF ART 915-AX.
The ART 915-A is a professional active loudspeaker with XLR/jack input, XLR output, volume control and speaker voicing controls. It does not include Bluetooth audio streaming and does not include a built-in multi-channel digital mixer.
The ART 915-AX is the newer connected version with Bluetooth, an internal 6-channel digital mixer, touch interface and remote-control features.
Choose the ART 915-A if you already use a mixer, DJ controller or external source and want a straightforward, powerful active PA speaker. Choose the ART 915-AX if you specifically need onboard mixing and Bluetooth features built into the speaker itself.
Comparison Against Popular Alternatives
RCF ART 915-A vs RCF ART 912-A
The ART 912-A uses a 12-inch woofer, making it slightly more compact and easier to transport. The ART 915-A uses a 15-inch woofer, giving it greater low-end weight and a fuller sound, especially for DJs, live bands and users who want more bass from a single speaker.
Choose the ART 912-A if portability and vocal-focused clarity are your main priorities. Choose the ART 915-A if you want more bass extension, a bigger sound and stronger full-range performance.
RCF ART 915-A vs RCF ART 932-A
The ART 932-A uses a 12-inch woofer but steps up to a larger 1.4-inch compression driver with a 3-inch voice coil, making it particularly strong for vocal projection and high-frequency detail. The ART 915-A, by contrast, offers the fuller low-end feel of a 15-inch woofer.
Choose the ART 932-A if vocal clarity, throw and mid-high definition are the priority. Choose the ART 915-A if you want a more bass-rich 15-inch full-range cabinet.
RCF ART 915-A vs RCF ART 715-A MK5
The ART 715-A MK5 is a strong and popular 15-inch RCF active speaker, but the ART 915-A sits higher in the range with the ART 9 amplifier platform, FiRPHASE processing, Bass Motion Control and a more advanced cabinet design.
Choose the ART 715-A MK5 if you want a capable 15-inch speaker at a lower price point. Choose the ART 915-A if you want a more powerful, more advanced option with greater headroom and a more refined DSP platform.
RCF ART 915-A vs Yamaha DBR15
The Yamaha DBR15 is a popular 15-inch active speaker for users seeking reliable, affordable PA performance. The RCF ART 915-A is aimed at a more demanding user who wants higher output, advanced DSP and a more professional transducer/amplifier package.
Choose the Yamaha DBR15 for budget-conscious general PA use. Choose the ART 915-A if you want a higher-performance speaker for gigging, event work and professional sound reinforcement.
Who Is It For?
Beginner Users
The ART 915-A can be used by beginners, but it is a professional active speaker rather than an all-in-one PA system. Beginners will need a suitable source such as a mixer, DJ controller, audio interface or microphone preamp. It does not provide Bluetooth or multi-channel onboard mixing.
For new users wanting a speaker they can grow into, it is a strong option because it offers far more headroom and sound quality than many entry-level powered speakers.
Intermediate Performers
Solo performers, duos, DJs, rehearsal rooms and small bands will benefit from the ART 915-A’s combination of power, portability and full-range sound. It is particularly useful when you want a speaker that can handle vocals, instruments and backing tracks without sounding thin.
Professional Users
The ART 915-A is a strong fit for working musicians, mobile DJs, hire companies, venues, churches, schools, event teams and AV users who need a reliable active speaker with professional output and flexible deployment options.
It can be used as a main PA speaker, stage monitor, installed loudspeaker or part of a larger system with active subwoofers.

- Wedding and function work
- Corporate events
- Houses of worship
- Schools and colleges

What Are FiRPHASE And Bass Motion Control?
The ART 915-A includes two important RCF technologies: FiRPHASE and Bass Motion Control.
FiRPHASE is RCF’s phase-correction technology. It is designed to improve the timing relationship between frequencies so the speaker sounds more coherent and natural. For listeners, this can mean clearer vocals, more focused instruments and a sound that feels less harsh or disjointed at higher levels.
Bass Motion Control is designed to manage the movement of the woofer more intelligently. Low frequencies require the woofer cone to move further, and uncontrolled movement can cause distortion or damage. Bass Motion Control helps maintain low-end extension while keeping the woofer operating safely and cleanly.
Together, these features help the ART 915-A deliver a more refined sound than many basic active speakers, especially when used at higher volumes or in demanding live sound situations.
RCF has a long history in professional loudspeaker design, with products used across live sound, touring, installation and portable PA markets. The ART Series has become one of RCF’s most recognised speaker families because it offers professional active speaker performance in a practical, portable format.
The ART 9 Series represents a more advanced generation of the ART platform, with improved amplifier power, modern DSP, refined cabinet construction and RCF’s latest transducer design. The ART 915-A sits in this range as the 15-inch option for users who want full-range output, strong bass response and professional sound in a single active cabinet.
It is a natural choice for users who want a step up from entry-level powered speakers without moving into a much larger touring-style system.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the RCF ART 915-A have Bluetooth?
No. The ART 915-A does not include Bluetooth. If you need Bluetooth streaming, you would need to use an external Bluetooth receiver, mixer, DJ controller or choose a Bluetooth-equipped model such as the ART 915-AX.
Does the RCF ART 915-A have a built-in mixer?
No. The ART 915-A does not have a built-in multi-channel mixer. It has XLR/jack input connectivity and is intended for use with an external mixer, DJ controller, audio interface or suitable audio source.
Is the ART 915-A the same as the ART 915-AX?
No. The ART 915-A and ART 915-AX are different models. The ART 915-AX includes Bluetooth and an internal digital mixer, while the ART 915-A is a straightforward professional active speaker focused on sound performance and external-source connectivity.
Can I use the RCF ART 915-A for DJ work?
Yes. The ART 915-A is well suited to DJ use thanks to its 15-inch woofer, strong output and full-range sound. For larger dancefloor applications, pairing it with a subwoofer or using two ART 915-A speakers in stereo would provide better coverage and impact.
Can I use the ART 915-A without a subwoofer?
Yes. The 15-inch woofer gives the ART 915-A strong low-frequency performance for many applications. However, for larger venues, dance music or high-output live sound, adding a dedicated subwoofer will deliver deeper bass and reduce strain on the main speakers.
Is the ART 915-A good for vocals?
Yes. The ART 915-A offers clear vocal projection thanks to its compression driver, controlled waveguide and FiRPHASE processing. For speech, singers and live bands, it provides strong clarity as well as volume.
Can the ART 915-A be used as a floor monitor?
Yes. The cabinet shape allows the ART 915-A to be used as a stage monitor. However, because it is a powerful 15-inch speaker, users needing compact monitoring may also want to consider a smaller dedicated monitor depending on stage space.
Does the ART 915-A need an amplifier?
No. The ART 915-A is an active speaker with built-in amplification, so no external amplifier is required.
What is the difference between the ART 912-A and ART 915-A?
The ART 912-A has a 12-inch woofer and is more compact, while the ART 915-A has a 15-inch woofer for fuller low-end response and a larger overall sound. The ART 912-A may suit vocals and portability, while the ART 915-A is better for users wanting more bass and full-range power.
Is the ART 915-A suitable for permanent installation?
Yes. The ART 915-A includes M10 mounting points and can be used in installed applications with appropriate RCF mounting accessories. Always ensure installation is carried out safely using suitable hardware and professional guidance where required.
