Quick Product Summary

The Roland CB-B88S is a durable padded carrying bag designed for slim 88-note stage pianos and keyboards. Part of Roland's Black Series, it provides practical protection for musicians regularly transporting their instrument between home, rehearsals, lessons, studios and live performances.

Thick internal padding and a soft fleece lining help protect the piano against everyday knocks and scratches, while padded backpack straps, reinforced carrying handles and a large accessory pocket make travelling with your instrument considerably easier.

What Makes the Roland CB-B88S Special?

An 88-note stage piano can be awkward to transport, so the CB-B88S combines protection with carrying flexibility. Its slim profile is designed around streamlined full-size keyboards, while the padded interior provides a safer environment than transporting an instrument without a dedicated bag.

Backpack-style straps are particularly useful when moving equipment between vehicles and venues, allowing your hands to remain free for stands, cables or other gear. A generous external pocket also keeps essential accessories together with the instrument.

• Gigging keyboardists

• Digital piano players

Compatibility

Protection

The padded construction helps protect your instrument against:

• Everyday knocks

• Minor impacts

• Scratches

• Scuffs

• Dust during storage

• General wear associated with regular transportation

The CB-B88S is a padded soft bag rather than a rigid flight case and should be handled accordingly.

FAQs

What type of keyboard is the Roland CB-B88S designed for?

The CB-B88S is designed for slim 88-note stage pianos and keyboards, providing padded protection without the bulk of a conventional hard case.

Will every 88-note keyboard fit?

No. Full-size keyboards can vary considerably in width, depth and height. The CB-B88S is intended specifically for slimmer models, so compatibility should be checked before purchasing for a particular instrument.

Is the CB-B88S padded?

Yes. Thick internal padding helps cushion the keyboard against everyday bumps and knocks during normal transportation.

Does it have a soft interior?

Yes. The interior features a soft lining designed to help protect the piano's cabinet and finish against scratches and scuffs.

Can I carry the CB-B88S like a backpack?

Yes. Padded backpack straps make it possible to carry the instrument on your back, which can be particularly helpful when transporting additional equipment.

Does it have conventional carrying handles?

Yes. Reinforced handles provide a traditional hand-carrying option when preferred.

Is there space for accessories?

Yes. A large external pocket provides useful storage for smaller accessories such as cables, power supplies, sustain pedals and music.

Is the stage piano included?

No. This listing is for the Roland CB-B88S carrying bag only.

Is the CB-B88S suitable for gigging?

Yes. Its combination of protective padding, durable construction, accessory storage and backpack carrying makes it well suited to regular rehearsal and gig use.

Can it be used for home storage?

Yes. The bag provides a useful way to keep a compatible stage piano protected from dust, scratches and accidental contact when it is not being used.

Is it easier to transport than a hard case?

Yes. A padded bag is generally considerably lighter than a rigid case, making it a convenient choice for musicians who regularly carry their own keyboard.

Is the CB-B88S a flight case?

No. It is a padded soft carrying bag. For freight, checked airline baggage or demanding touring applications, a suitably sized rigid flight case would provide greater impact protection.
