What Makes the Schecter Solo-II Standard Special?
The Solo-II Standard takes the familiar proportions of a traditional single-cut electric guitar and gives them a distinctly contemporary Schecter feel. Its mahogany body with figured burl top creates a striking foundation for the Ocean Blue Burst finish, allowing the natural figuring to remain an important part of the guitar's appearance. The roasted maple Thin "C" neck, 14" fingerboard radius and 22 jumbo frets provide a streamlined playing surface suited to chord work, expressive bends and faster lead techniques.
A pair of Schecter Diamond Standard humbuckers with black metal covers keeps the electronics straightforward while providing plenty of tonal weight. The bridge pickup offers clarity and attack for rhythm playing and driven lead sounds, while the neck pickup delivers a warmer and fuller response. Simple volume, tone and three-way switching make useful sounds quick to access.
Who Is It For?
The Schecter Solo-II Standard is ideal for players who enjoy traditional single-cut guitars but prefer a slimmer, more modern playing feel.
It is particularly well suited to:
-
Rock and hard-rock guitarists
-
Blues players
-
Alternative musicians
-
Rhythm and lead guitarists
-
Players who prefer a 24.75" scale
-
Guitarists who favour dual-humbucker tones
-
Players wanting a stable fixed bridge
-
Developing musicians upgrading from an entry-level guitar
-
Intermediate and experienced players
-
Home-recording and gigging guitarists
Why Choose A Shorter-Scale Dual-Humbucker Guitar?
A 24.75" scale length provides a slightly softer string feel than a longer 25.5" scale when using comparable strings and tuning. Many players appreciate this for expressive bends, vibrato and comfortable chord work.
Combined with two humbuckers, the Solo-II Standard delivers the thicker and more substantial sound associated with classic single-cut guitars while retaining Schecter's modern neck profile and flatter fingerboard radius. It is a particularly versatile formula for players moving between clean, crunch and higher-gain sounds.
