Proving again that the Gold Label Collection offers fertile ground for collaboration, this Grand Concert acoustic-electric boasts back and sides of solid mahogany topped with torrefied spruce for an enticingly warm, woody midrange voice that combines a strong fundamental focus with pleasing articulation and impressive power across the frequency range. Inside, our fanned V-Class bracing dials up greater volume, sustain and low-end presence, while the roasting process for the spruce soundboard adds a touch of aged-in sweetness and depth. Along with the compact body shape, players will appreciate the easy microadjustability of the Action Control Neck as well as the adaptability of the Claria System electronics and their intuitive soundhole-mounted controls. Visual cues add up to a bold neo-vintage character, including a Honduran rosewood fretboard and peghead veneer, cream-colored binding and a matching rosette with black trim, a cream-colored pickguard, Crest inlays, polished bronze tuning machines, and bone bridge pins. Rounding out the package is a golden-brown shaded edgeburst top developed with Ben Harper himself, capped with a gloss finish for the top, back and sides.

Taylor's revolutionary V-shaped bracing pattern allows the soundboard of the guitar to resonate and flex naturally without any of the resistance found in more traditional bracing patterns. The guitar becomes louder and fuller with increased sustain and the notes along the fingerboard intonate better and generally sound more in tune with each other. The carefully thought-out design strikes the perfect balance of enough stiffness to remain stable and the perfect amount of flex for a powerful and harmonically rich sound.

Developed with extensive input from touring artists and live sound engineers, Taylor’s new Claria System reimagines the under-saddle piezo pickup to deliver consistent plug-and-play acoustic tone in any setting. A proprietary preamp tames the harshness of traditional piezos and incorporates soundhole-mounted controls: Volume, Tone and a versatile Mid-Contour knob. The result is a consistent, stage-ready tone that’s easy to shape for any setting — from solo café gigs to large-venue performances.
