The Yamaha THR5A is all about Acoustic Tone; it's all about getting that studio acoustic sound no matter where you are. With a variety of microphone emulations, you can add a variety of different flavours to your playing, and with the ability to dial in reverb, chorus, compression, and other effects, you can achieve a much broader sonic plane than simply playing your guitar.

The Yamaha THR5A is also an excellent recording interface and iPod dock (or anything with a 3.5mm jack) Yamaha refers to this as your "third" amplifier, but we believe it would also work well as your "first," "second," "fourth," or "fifth" amplifier.

THR5A features mic types perfectly tailored for steel-string and nylon-string guitars, together with a natural, clean amp model for electric guitar.
