The Taylor 117e is a Grand Pacific–style acoustic guitar designed to offer a warm, rounded voice in a comfortable, modern build. It features a solid torrefied Sitka spruce top paired with layered sapele back and sides, giving it a blend of clarity, depth, and durability suitable for a wide range of playing styles. Its slope-shoulder body shape contributes to a focused low-end response and an inviting overall feel.

The neck is made from neo-tropical mahogany and fitted with a West African Crelicam ebony fingerboard, providing smooth playability and a familiar 25.5-inch scale length. The nut width of 1 11/16" offers a comfortable grip for chords and fingerpicking, while Taylor’s C-Class bracing enhances sustain and dynamic sensitivity across the instrument. The guitar maintains the clean, understated aesthetic typical of the 100 Series.
