Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI in 3-Colour Sunburst, (Used, Comm)
The Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI is built around a solid alder body in a gloss 3-Colour Sunburst finish, employing an offset double-cutaway design that nods to the classic Bass VI silhouette. It features a bolt-on maple neck carved into a comfortable “C” profile, topped by a rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius and 21 medium-jumbo frets. The 30-inch short scale length and a synthetic bone nut at approximately 1.650 inches (42 mm) nut width place it squarely between guitar and bass dimensions—inviting guitarists to explore deeper tonal ranges.
Electronics include a trio of pickups in an H/S/S format: two special-design Hot Jaguar single-coils in the neck and middle positions, and a powerful JZHB (Jazzmaster-style humbucker) at the bridge. A five-position blade switch directs these pickups across a spectrum of tonal combinations, while master volume and tone knobs provide simple yet effective sound shaping.
Hardware blends vintage styling with functional stability, featuring a six-saddle adjustable bridge paired with a floating tremolo tailpiece, nickel/chrome hardware, and vintage-style tuners. A four-ply tortoiseshell pickguard complements the sunburst aesthetic. The construction and components retain the rugged charm of Fender’s mid-‘60s to mid-‘70s experimental era while delivering modern short-scale playability.
