The EVH Wolfgang USA in Ivory with ebony fingerboard is built around a basswood body topped with a big‑leaf maple cap and finished in high-gloss urethane, with five‑ply binding along the body and headstock for a polished, high-end look. Its neck is constructed from quartersawn maple with graphite reinforcement, bolted on and shaped to the signature “Wolfgang Backshape.” The neck has a 25.5" scale length, a 12"–16" compound‑radius ebony fingerboard, and 22 vintage stainless-steel frets, combining smooth playability for chords with precision for fast lead work.

In terms of electronics, the guitar is fitted with direct‑mount EVH Wolfgang custom‑wound humbuckers in both the neck and bridge positions, offering powerful, harmonically rich output. The controls consist of a master volume knob and a master tone knob, plus a reverse‑style 3‑way toggle switch for selecting neck, both, or bridge pickups. 

Hardware includes an EVH-branded double‑locking Floyd Rose tremolo with EVH D‑Tuna, ensuring stable tuning even under aggressive tremolo use and allowing quick drop‑D tuning on demand.
