The Fender Marine Layer Reverb is a guitar effects pedal offering three core reverb modes: Hall, Room, and Shimmer allowing you to choose between large-space ambience, tighter room-style ambience, or more ethereal, modulated reverberation. The pedal gives control over reverb decay (length of the tail), damping (tone of the reverb), pre-delay (time before reverb begins), and overall effect level, enabling precise shaping of how the reverb blends with your dry signal.

An additional “Filter” switch modifies the tone of the reverb tail, giving the option to soften bright reverbs or keep them crisp and clear depending on preference. The pedal is built in a sturdy, lightweight chassis and runs on a standard 9 V DC power supply, making it practical for both studio and live setups.

Notably, the reverb tails continue to decay naturally even after you disengage the effect meaning you don’t get an abrupt cut, but a smooth fade-out that helps maintain a natural sound when switching effects during playing.
