Gamechanger Audio Plasma Pedal, (Used)
The Gamechanger Audio Plasma Pedal is a high‑voltage distortion stompbox that literally turns your instrument’s signal into electrical discharges inside a xenon-filled tube, recreating lightning-like arcs that are then converted back into audio. The result is a uniquely gritty, crackling distortion with a gated behaviour: when your signal drops, the discharge stops, giving you moments of silence between the crunch.
Controls include a Voltage knob for adjusting the threshold at which the plasma arc forms, a Blend knob to mix in clean (or other) signals alongside the plasma effect, Volume, and a two-band EQ with separate Low and High frequency knobs. An EQ toggle switch lets you choose whether the tone-shaping applies only to the “wet” plasma sound or to the clean signal as well.
Technically, it’s an analogue pedal with true-bypass, a 1 MΩ input impedance, and a frequency response from 20 Hz to 22 kHz. It runs off a 9 V DC, centre-negative supply (requiring at least 250 mA), and draws around 300 mA in use.
