The TC Electronic Flashback is a delay/echo effects pedal for guitar or bass designed to offer a wide variety of delay styles — from clean repeats to ambient echoes and even reverse or modulated delays. It provides controls to set delay time, feedback (number of repeats), and effect level (mix of dry and delayed signal), allowing the user to tailor the delay effect from subtle echoes to long, drifting repeats.

It supports multiple delay modes, including analog‑style delay, digital delay, tape‑delay emulation, modulated delay, reverse delay, slapback, ping‑pong stereo delay and more. There is also a looper function for recording and overdubbing phrases, allowing players to build layered loops directly via the pedal.

The unit can operate either in mono or stereo setups and offers flexible bypass options depending on how it’s connected in a signal chain. Its design makes it suitable for a wide range of musical styles — from classic rock and clean rhythm to ambient textures and experimental soundscapes.
