The TC Electronic Flashback is a delay pedal for guitar or bass that offers a wide range of echo effects — from classic tape- and analogue-style delays to modern digital repeats and experimental tones. Its controls allow adjustment of Delay Time, Feedback (repeat count), and Effect Level (mix between dry signal and delayed signal), giving flexibility to shape delays from short slapback echoes to longer ambient repeats.

The pedal offers multiple delay modes, including analogue-style, digital, tape-emulation, modulated, reverse, and ping‑pong stereo. Some versions also include a built-in looper function for recording and overdubbing short phrases, expanding its utility beyond simple delay.
