Gibson SG Standard in Ebony, (Used)
The Gibson SG Standard in Ebony is a solid-body electric guitar built with a mahogany body and a mahogany neck to produce warm, resonant tones. The body and neck are finished in a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer, while the neck has a rounded profile and the fingerboard is bound rosewood with 22 medium-jumbo frets. The scale length is 24.75-inches, and the nut width is approximately 43.05 mm (1.695 inches).
It is equipped with a pair of Alnico II humbucking pickups, the Gibson 490R in the neck position and the 490T in the bridge position, with two volume knobs, two tone knobs, and a three-way toggle switch for pickup selection. The hardware includes an aluminium Nashville Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminium stop-bar tailpiece, Grover Rotomatic tuners with kidney buttons, and a Graph Tech nut.
The aesthetic details include cream single-ply binding on the body, a full-face 5-ply black pickguard, black top-hat knobs with silver reflectors, and chrome hardware. The fretboard has acrylic trapezoid inlays, and the neck joins the body with a 19th-fret long-tenon joint to enhance sustain.
