The ENGL E606 Ironball is a compact, all-tube guitar amplifier head that delivers 20 watts of power using two EL84 output tubes and four ECC83 (12AX7) preamp tubes. Despite its small "lunchbox" format, it offers full performance suitable for both live and recording applications. A notable Power Soak feature allows users to switch the output to 20 W, 5 W, 1 W, or cut speaker output entirely—making it ideal for silent practice or late-night recording via headphones or direct line output.

This amp provides four distinct channels—Clean, Crunch, Soft Lead, and Heavy Lead—with shared tone controls (3-band EQ), as well as dedicated Gain inputs for Clean and Lead channels, Lead Volume, and a footswitchable Master Volume Boost (M.V.B.). Additional tonal tools include a presence control, onboard reverb, a tube-buffered effects loop, headphone jack, and balanced line output with an optional cab sim.
