The Squier Tom DeLonge Stratocaster in black is a signature model designed in collaboration with the Blink-182 guitarist, focusing on simplicity and high-output performance. It features a solid alder body finished in gloss black, maintaining the classic Stratocaster silhouette. The bolt-on maple neck has a slab rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 21 medium-jumbo frets, providing a familiar fretboard feel suitable for power-chord-driven playing. The headstock follows the large ’70s-style Strat design, and the neck is attached with a four-bolt plate stamped with “Tom DeLonge.”

The guitar’s electronics are minimalistic, with a single humbucking pickup in the bridge position and a single master volume control, omitting tone knobs and pickup selectors to prioritise high-output tonal delivery. The pickup is a Duncan-Designed Detonator humbucker, designed to produce aggressive, punchy tones appropriate for punk and alternative rock styles. This streamlined configuration emphasises direct signal output and straightforward performance without unnecessary controls.

Hardware includes die-cast sealed tuning machines and a six-saddle hardtail bridge with through-body stringing, which enhances tuning stability and sustain. The black pickguard complements the gloss black body, creating a uniform aesthetic.
