The Ibanez JEM77 FP2 (Floral Pattern 2) is a signature electric guitar designed in collaboration with virtuoso guitarist Steve Vai, introduced in 2010 and produced until 2018. Manufactured in Japan by FujiGen, this model is renowned for its distinctive aesthetic, featuring a floral pattern derived from actual fabric—a nod to the original JEM77 FP. The fabric is applied to the basswood body and headstock, then sealed with a clear coat, resulting in a unique and eye-catching finish.

The guitar's construction includes a 5-piece maple/walnut neck with a rosewood fingerboard, adorned with the iconic "Tree of Life" inlay featuring red accents to complement the floral design. The neck profile is the JEM Prestige, offering a comfortable and fast-playing experience. Notably, the upper frets (21–24) are scalloped, facilitating easier bends and vibrato in higher registers.

Electronics-wise, the JEM77 FP2 is equipped with DiMarzio pickups: Evolution® in the neck and middle positions and an Evo2™ in the bridge, providing a versatile tonal palette suitable for various genres. The guitar features an Edge tremolo bridge, known for its stability and smooth operation, allowing for expressive pitch modulation. Additional features include chrome hardware, a locking nut, and the signature "Monkey Grip" handle, a hallmark of the JEM series.
