Martin 00-15M, (Used, Comm)
The Martin 00-15M features a compact “00-14 fret” body size with a top, back, and sides all crafted from solid genuine mahogany. The body is finished in satin to preserve the natural appearance and feel of the wood. Internally, the top is supported by a non-scalloped Sitka spruce X-brace, which helps deliver a balanced resonance and structural stability while keeping the guitar lightweight and responsive.
The neck is also mahogany, shaped in a Modified Low Oval profile with a 25.4" (645 mm) scale length and a nut width of 1 11/16". A dovetail neck joint ensures solid connection to the body. The fingerboard is made of East Indian rosewood and includes 20 frets (neck joins body at 14th fret), with diamond abalone inlays in a short-pattern style. The bridge is also rosewood, fitted with a compensated bone saddle and ebony bridge pins. Tuning is handled by nickel open-gear machines with black butterbean-style buttons.
Tonally, the all-mahogany construction gives the 00-15M a warm, woody character with emphasised mids and a smooth treble response, producing a focused, intimate voice ideal for fingerstyle playing, blues, folk, or singer-songwriter work. Its smaller body size makes it comfortable for long playing sessions, while the satin finish and understated aesthetics emphasise simplicity and a classic acoustic feel.
