Martin 000-15M, (Used, Comm)

The Martin 000-15M is an all-mahogany acoustic guitar built around a 000-size (auditorium) body with a 14-fret neck joint. Its top, back and sides are crafted from solid genuine mahogany, and the neck is also mahogany with a “Modified Low Oval” profile. The fingerboard and bridge are made from East Indian rosewood; the fingerboard features diamond and square abalone inlays on a 20-fret layout. The guitar uses a satin finish on the body and neck, giving it a natural, understated aesthetic.

Its bracing consists of a non-scalloped Sitka spruce X-brace pattern under the mahogany top. The scale length is 25.4″ (645 mm), with a nut width of roughly 1.687″ (1 11/16″), making it comfortable for both strumming and fingerstyle work. The bridge is a modern belly-style belly-bridge with a compensated bone saddle; tuning is handled by open-gear nickel machine heads with “butterbean” knobs. String spacing at the saddle is about 2 1/8″.

Tone-wise, the 000-15M is known for its warm, focused, and balanced character — the all-mahogany build yields rich midrange and clear fundamentals, lending itself well to folk, blues, fingerstyle, and more intimate acoustic settings. Its moderate body size and comfortable neck make it well suited for both recording and live use, while the modest volume and tonal clarity help it excel in situations where nuanced dynamics and articulation matter.
