Why Choose The Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Faded Vintage Cherry Sunburst?
Classic Les Paul Standard Power
The Les Paul Standard remains one of the most important electric guitar designs ever made. Its mahogany body, maple top, set neck and dual humbucker layout deliver the thick sustain, strong midrange and singing lead tone players expect from a proper Gibson Les Paul.
SlimTaper 60s Neck Feel
The 60s model is ideal for players who prefer a slimmer, faster neck profile. The SlimTaper neck gives the guitar a more agile feel than a rounder 50s-style Les Paul, making it excellent for lead playing, rhythm work and long sessions.
Satin Faded Nitrocellulose Finish
The faded satin nitrocellulose finish gives this Les Paul a more played-in look and feel than a high-gloss model. It feels comfortable in the hands and gives the guitar a more relaxed, broken-in visual character.
AA Figured Maple Top
The AA figured maple top adds visual depth beneath the Vintage Cherry Sunburst finish, giving the guitar the classic flame-top Les Paul look while keeping the faded finish understated and tasteful.
60s Burstbucker Humbuckers
The open-coil 60s Burstbucker pickups are loaded with Alnico 5 magnets and voiced for classic Gibson humbucker tone. They offer clarity, bite, sustain and enough output for everything from warm blues to driven rock.
Hand-Wired Controls
The hand-wired control assembly with Orange Drop capacitors gives the guitar a traditional, responsive Gibson control layout. The independent volume and tone controls make it easy to shape rhythm, lead and blended pickup sounds.
Hardcase Included
The included hardcase provides proper protection for storage, transport, rehearsals and gigs.
Comparison Against Popular Alternatives
Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Faded vs Les Paul Standard 60s Gloss
The gloss Les Paul Standard 60s has a more polished, high-shine finish. The Faded version offers a satin nitro feel and a more played-in look while keeping the same essential 60s-inspired Les Paul identity.
Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Faded vs Les Paul Standard 50s
The Les Paul Standard 50s has a rounder neck profile and more 1950s-inspired feel. The 60s Faded model is better suited to players who prefer a slimmer neck and a slightly faster playing experience.
Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Faded vs Les Paul Studio
A Les Paul Studio gives a more stripped-back Gibson experience. The Les Paul Standard 60s Faded adds a figured maple top, full Standard appointments, binding, Burstbucker pickups and stronger flagship appeal.
Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Faded vs Les Paul Classic
A Les Paul Classic often includes more modern switching options depending on year. The Les Paul Standard 60s Faded is better for players who want a more traditional Les Paul layout with a vintage-inspired satin finish.
Who Is It For?
Rock And Classic Rock Players
The Les Paul Standard 60s Faded is ideal for rock and classic rock thanks to its sustain, humbucker power and strong midrange focus.
Blues And Blues-Rock Guitarists
The neck pickup warmth, bridge pickup bite and smooth sustain make it excellent for expressive blues phrasing and vocal lead tones.
Hard Rock Players
The 60s Burstbuckers, solid mahogany body and set-neck construction give this Les Paul the punch and authority needed for riffs, solos and driven amp tones.
Studio Musicians
A Les Paul Standard records beautifully thanks to its rich midrange, strong sustain and ability to sit confidently in a mix.
Players Wanting A Broken-In Feel
The satin faded finish makes this a great choice for players who want a premium Gibson that feels less formal and more instantly comfortable than a high-gloss example.
Why Choose A Les Paul Standard 60s Faded?
A Les Paul Standard 60s Faded is perfect for players who want the core Gibson Les Paul sound with a more relaxed, played-in feel. It keeps the important ingredients: mahogany body, AA figured maple top, SlimTaper mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, 60s Burstbucker pickups, ABR-1 bridge and stopbar tailpiece.
The satin finish gives it a different feel from a gloss Les Paul. It looks slightly more worn-in, feels smoother under the arm and has a vintage-inspired look that suits players who prefer instruments with character.
For guitarists who want a serious USA-made Les Paul for blues, rock, hard rock, worship, studio work and live performance, the Standard 60s Faded is a very strong choice.

Story & Context: Gibson Les Paul Standard 60s Faded
The Les Paul Standard has shaped electric guitar music for decades. Its carved maple top, mahogany body, set neck and humbucker sound have become essential to blues, rock, hard rock, classic rock and countless studio recordings.
The 60s version pays tribute to the slimmer-neck Les Paul feel associated with the early 1960s, while the Faded finish gives the model a more worn-in and accessible look. It is still a proper Les Paul Standard, but with a finish that feels less pristine and more stage-ready.
This Vintage Cherry Sunburst example, supplied in Excellent condition with a hardcase, is a superb pre-owned Gibson for players who want classic Les Paul tone with a more comfortable satin-finish feel.
