The Roland Blues Cube Stage is a 60-watt 1x12 combo guitar amplifier built around Roland’s Tube Logic technology, designed to reproduce the dynamic response and breakup behaviour of a traditional valve amplifier using solid-state circuitry. It is voiced primarily for blues, rock, and edge-of-breakup playing where touch sensitivity and volume interaction are central to the sound.

The amplifier features a single channel with a wide gain range, moving from clean tones through natural crunch into saturated overdrive as the input level is increased. The response is dynamic, with strong interaction between pick attack and guitar volume controls, producing gradual harmonic distortion rather than abrupt clipping. A built-in power control system allows output reduction for lower-volume operation while maintaining the same tonal character.

The control set is Volume, Master, Tone, Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence, along with a built-in reverb section. The EQ section shapes the overall frequency response, while the Presence control adjusts upper harmonic detail and perceived brightness. The design focuses on delivering a consistent “amp-like” feel across different playing environments, from home use to stage performance.
