The Roland CUBE-80GX is a solid-state digital modelling guitar combo amplifier designed for practice, recording, and live performance. It delivers 80 watts of output through a custom-designed 12-inch speaker, housed in a compact closed-back cabinet. The amp is built around Roland’s COSM (Composite Object Sound Modelling) technology, which simulates a range of classic and modern amplifier tones within a single unit.

It features three main channels: JC CLEAN, a CLEAN reference model inspired by Roland’s Jazz Chorus sound; LEAD, which provides multiple selectable amp voicings ranging from clean to high-gain; and a programmable SOLO channel that can store a complete tone setup including EQ and effects. The control layout includes a three-band EQ plus presence adjustment, allowing detailed tone shaping across all channels.

Onboard effects are integrated into separate sections, typically including modulation, delay with tap tempo, and reverb, allowing a wide range of ambient and time-based sounds without external pedals. Connectivity options include line out and recording/headphone output for silent practice or direct recording, and an i-CUBE LINK input for interfacing with mobile devices and music apps.
