The 1980 Gibson ES-175CC is a rare and distinctive archtop guitar, produced in limited numbers between 1978 and 1980 at Gibson's Kalamazoo factory. This model pays homage to the early electric jazz guitars by featuring a single Charlie Christian-style blade pickup in the neck position, diverging from the dual humbucker setup of the standard ES-175D. Only 479 units were made during its brief production run, making it a sought-after collector's item. 

Constructed with a laminated maple body and a Florentine cutaway, the ES-175CC offers both visual appeal and tonal warmth. The three-piece maple neck is topped with a bound rosewood fingerboard adorned with parallelogram inlays. Hardware includes a trapeze tailpiece, Gibson Deluxe tuners, and a bevelled 5-ply pickguard. The guitar's finish is typically an Antique Sunburst on the top, with a darker Walnut hue on the back and sides, complemented by gold-plated hardware.
