The Burns The Marvin 1964 Reissue Shadows White 2018 is a solid-body electric guitar manufactured in the United Kingdom as a recreation of the original 1964 Burns Marvin model associated with Hank Marvin of The Shadows. It features a bolt-on construction with a selected American alder body, a Canadian maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard, built with a 25.5" scale length and 21 frets. The design is intended to closely follow the specifications of the mid-1960s instrument it is based on, which was originally developed in collaboration with British guitar designer Jim Burns. 

The electronics consist of three Burns Rez-O-Matik single-coil pickups built with Alnico magnets, wired to a five-way selector switch along with master volume and dual tone controls. Some versions include a push-pull function that expands pickup combinations by enabling additional neck pickup routing. This configuration is designed to replicate and extend the tonal range of the original model, offering a combination of bright, chime-like tones and fuller lead sounds.

Hardware appointments include a Burns Rez-O-Tube vibrato system and sealed tuning machines, designed to support tuning stability and expressive pitch control. The instrument typically incorporates a gloss finish in Shadows White and is built with a 12-inch fretboard radius for balanced playability across chordal and lead techniques.
