Ibanez AG96‑DHS, Dark Honey Sunburst, (Used)
The Ibanez AG96‑DHS in Dark Honey Sunburst is a midsize, fully hollow archtop introduced in 2009–2010. Its lamination features a flamed maple top, back, and sides with cream multi-ply binding, all chambering around a set-in three-piece mahogany/maple neck joined to a rosewood fingerboard with acrylic block inlays and 22 medium frets.
Electronics consist of two Ibanez Artcore ACH humbucking pickups (ACH1 neck / ACH2 bridge), each with dedicated volume and tone controls plus a three-way selector. A Tune‑O‑Matic ART‑1 bridge mounted on a wood base and a VT100DX rosewood tailpiece support sustain and stability, while gold hardware adds visual elegance.
Overall, the AG96‑DHS offers a warm, rounded tone with a slight emphasis on the midrange—ideal for jazz, blues, or vintage rock. Built with solid fit, finish, and playability typical of Ibanez’s Artcore line, it delivers excellent value for a Chinese-made hollowbody from that era.
