Ibanez RGIXL7ABL RG Iron Label in Antique Brown Stained Low Gloss Electric Guitar, (Used)
The Ibanez RGIXL7ABL Iron Label is a 7-string solid-body electric guitar built around the extended-scale Iron Label platform developed for low tunings and modern metal performance. It features an ash body finished in Antique Brown Stained Low Gloss, paired with a 3-piece maple and purpleheart Nitro Wizard-7 XL neck and a Macassar ebony fingerboard. The guitar uses a 27-inch scale length, 24 jumbo frets, and a 400 mm fingerboard radius, giving increased string tension and tighter low-frequency response for down-tuned playing.
The hardware includes a Gibraltar Standard II-7 fixed bridge, Gotoh MG-T locking tuners, black hardware, and luminescent side dots. The fixed bridge construction focuses on sustain, tuning stability, and direct string transfer without tremolo movement. The Nitro Wizard neck profile uses a thin, flat geometry engineered for fast technical playing and low-action setups.
In this modified configuration, the stock DiMarzio Fusion Edge pickups are replaced with a Seymour Duncan Nazgûl bridge humbucker and Seymour Duncan MH Alpha neck pickup. The Nazgûl uses a high-output ceramic design with aggressive low-end response and pronounced upper-mid attack aimed at extended-range metal tuning clarity. The MH Alpha neck pickup is voiced for articulate lead tones and controlled low-frequency response under high gain. The electronics retain the guitar’s simplified Iron Label control layout with volume control, three-way selector switch, and coil-tap functionality integrated into the passive wiring system.
