EarthQuaker Devices Hizumitas Fuzz Sustainer Pedal
Crushing sustained fuzz
A faithful recreation of Wata’s go-to distortion pedal, the Elk BM Sustainar, which itself is a Japanese variant of the well-known “Triangle” BMP. With reference to Wata’s own pedal, EarthQuaker managed to match the original's decimating power, delivering heavy saturation, with an unbelievably gritty edge and enormous bottom end. This is all done whilst retaining a clear and dynamic tone that possesses enough definition in its mid-range and scintillating highs to cut cleanly through the sludge within the mix.
Impeccable construction
The Hizumitas pedal is built with precision and durability to create a pedal that will be part of your set up for years to come. Designed with silent relay-based switching, you can activate this decimating fuzz without any of the muddying pop to interrupt your flow. A true bypass system allows you to preserve your clean tone when the pedal isn’t in use. Crafted with a full analog signal path the pedal delivering a delightful authentic tone, with a fresh breath of life within the fuzz pedal market.
A three dial control
The Hizumitas comes designed with an easy to use three control design, featuring a designated fuzz dial, a sustain control, and a tone control, all of which offer complete tonal shaping of this pedal's revolutionary sound. The tone control allows you to either dial up the bass in the pedal's tone by turning it clockwise, and alternatively gives the treble more presence when turned anticlockwise. The sustain control is sensitive, offering an incredible variation of sound, ranging from very little saturation to a vast amount, responding brilliantly to any pickup configuration, power chords will sound huge, whilst open chords are responsive and articulate.
