The Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa signature Humbucker Set is a limited‑edition matched pair of humbucker pickups produced by the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop in collaboration with blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa, modelled after the original P.A.F. humbuckers from a 1959 Gibson Les Paul. These pickups are crafted using Alnico 2 magnets in both the neck and bridge units, and are built to replicate the vintage construction and tonal characteristics of the classic P.A.F. design, with DC resistance values of 7.68 kΩ for the neck and 8.10 kΩ for the bridge. The set features braided single‑conductor hookup cables and aged cosmetic details on the covers to evoke the look of vintage pickups, with the first production run having signed bottom plates and numbered packaging.

Each pickup in the set uses a dual‑coil humbucking design with unpotted coils that contribute to a lively response and sensitivity to string vibration, reflecting the historical winding techniques associated with early Gibson humbuckers. The neck pickup is intended to deliver warm, singing tones, while the bridge pickup is designed to provide a dynamic, barky response—an interplay that mirrors the original pickups’ behaviour through clean and overdriven amplification. Built in the United States by the Seymour Duncan Custom Shop, these pickups fit standard humbucker routings and are positioned for installation in guitars with dual humbucker cavities. 

The limited edition nature of the set means only 1,959 were produced with collector‑oriented features. While inspired by Bonamassa’s own guitar collection, the pickups are designed for general use by players seeking a historically informed humbucking tone with vintage P.A.F.‑style voice.
