What Makes The EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run V2 Special?
The Avalanche Run V2 combines flexible delay and spacious reverb within one highly creative stereo pedal. The delay offers control over Time, Repeats, Tone and Mix, while the independent reverb section allows you to adjust Decay and Mix for anything from subtle space to huge atmospheric washes.
Its three operating modes greatly expand what the pedal can do. Normal delivers conventional delay and reverb, Reverse reverses the delay line for unusual psychedelic textures, and Swell softens the attack of your playing for smooth, pad-like sounds. Tap tempo, selectable rhythmic ratios and assignable expression control make it particularly powerful for live and experimental performance.
Who Is It For?
The Avalanche Run V2 is ideal for guitarists who use delay and reverb as an important part of their overall sound rather than simply occasional effects.
It is particularly suited to ambient, shoegaze, post-rock, worship, indie, alternative and experimental players, as well as producers and studio musicians looking for a flexible stereo ambience processor.
Its combination of direct controls and advanced functionality also makes it a strong choice for players who want sophisticated sounds without navigating complicated menus or screens.
Why Choose A Combined Delay & Reverb Pedal?
Delay and reverb naturally complement each other. Delay creates distinct repeats of your original signal, while reverb adds the sense of space and decay around those repeats.
Combining both within a single pedal can make a pedalboard simpler while providing sounds that have been designed to work together.
The Avalanche Run V2 goes beyond a basic delay/reverb combination by adding reverse delay, automatic swells, tap tempo, expression control and stereo operation, making it especially useful for players creating layered and atmospheric guitar sounds.
