Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster in Pewter Electric Guitar, (Used)
The Fender Eric Clapton Stratocaster in Pewter is a USA-made artist signature model based on Eric Clapton’s long-running stage and studio specifications. It features an alder body finished in gloss urethane Pewter, paired with a one-piece maple neck using Fender’s soft “V” profile. The guitar uses a 25.5-inch scale length, a 9.5-inch fingerboard radius, and 22 vintage-style frets, combining vintage-inspired dimensions with modern playability features.
The hardware includes a blocked vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, designed to function as a fixed bridge system while retaining the traditional Stratocaster appearance. Fender installs a removable wood block between the tremolo block and cavity wall to prevent bridge movement, matching Clapton’s personal setup preference. Additional hardware includes vintage-style tuners, synthetic bone nut construction, and chrome hardware throughout the instrument.
The electronics consist of three Fender Vintage Noiseless single-coil pickups wired to an active mid-boost circuit and TBX tone control system. The active mid-boost provides up to 25 dB of gain enhancement focused around midrange frequencies, while the TBX control functions as both a traditional tone control and high-frequency expander depending on knob position. Earlier versions built before 2001 used Gold Lace Sensor pickups before Fender changed to the Vintage Noiseless configuration.
