Martin SC-13E Special Natural Acoustic Guitar, (Used, Comm)

The Martin SC-13E Special Natural is an acoustic-electric guitar from Martin’s SC series, built around an offset S-13 Fret cutaway body design developed for improved upper-fret access and electric-style ergonomics. It features a gloss spruce top with ziricote fine veneer back and sides, paired with an ebony fingerboard and bridge. The instrument uses Martin’s patented Sure Align® neck system and Low Profile Velocity neck carve, designed to allow unrestricted access across the entire fretboard while maintaining acoustic structural stability.

The construction includes a 25.4-inch scale length, 1 3/4-inch nut width, 20 frets, and a 16-inch fingerboard radius. Hardware includes open-gear nickel tuners with skeleton-key buttons, a compensated white Tusq saddle, white Corian nut, and Martin’s aperture-style multi-stripe rosette design. The body geometry shifts the cutaway deeper into the upper bout while retaining more internal air volume than a traditional single-cut acoustic design.

The electronics system uses an LR Baggs Element undersaddle pickup with onboard controls integrated into the soundhole edge. The SC-13E Special is designed for amplified stage performance as well as acoustic use, combining Martin’s Road Series construction with modern ergonomic engineering and lightweight body architecture. Martin shipped the model with either a soft-shell case or padded gig bag depending on production batch and availability.
