PRS Special Semi-Hollow, Eriza Verde

Every now and then, a guitar comes along that perfectly embraces modern design, playability, and tone, resulting in a guitar that is ideal for home, stage, and studio. One of these guitars is the PRS Special Semi Hollow. This model was first offered as a limited edition, but owing to popular demand, we are pleased to announce that it is now available again!

The Special looks as wonderful as it sounds, with a stunning carved Maple Top and a Mahogany back finished with Eriza Verde. Its appearance is similar to that of the John Mayer Super Eagle, and it is superbly weighted and balanced, while the semi hollow shape provides great resonance and endurance in tone.

The 22 fret Mahogany neck features a Rosewood fingerboard and pattern profile, offering a warm tone and loads of sustain it feels great underhand. Proudly bearing the classic Mother of Pearl bird inlays, this is every bit the premium guitar.

The Signature 58/15 humbuckers provide exceptional articulation and sonic clarity. These pickups are comfortable in a wide range of musical contexts, span a wide spectrum of tones, and always find a way to pierce through the mix. The Special also has a PRS Narrowfield single coil in the middle position, and with a 5-way selector and two small toggle switches, the tonal options are extensive.

With a PRS tremolo and locking Phase III tuners you get great tuning stability and intonation. Complete with PRS hardcase, this is one of our favourite PRS models, its a great example of the continued brilliance from PRS.
