The Sennheiser MK 4 is a large-diaphragm condenser with a full and powerful sound. The microphone has a solid metal housing, a cardioid pickup pattern and an SPL of 140 dB. This makes the microphone well suited for studio as well as on-stage use. With the MK 4 you are getting your hands on a professional condenser microphone, that was made with German precision!

MK 4: quiet and a high SPL
The Sennheiser MK 4 microphone has a 1-inch diaphragm, equipped with 24-carat gold. The diaphragm is based on the one that can be found in the Sennheiser E 965 high-end vocal microphone, but this version is optimised for recording applications. The microphone's maximum processable sound level of 140 dB makes it well suited for more demanding uses like picking up wind instruments and guitar amplifiers and overhead use. The microphone is also very quiet thanks to its self noise of only 10 dB.

Accessories
Besides the Sennheiser MK 4 you will find a manual, solid microphone clip and protective pouch in the box. For optimal recording you can also use a separately available MS 4 shockmount.
